For a chance to compete in the Broadcom MASTERS, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students need to first compete in their local or regional SSP-affiliated science fair, and be nominated by that fair for the Broadcom MASTERS.
Nominees will then complete the online application. Entries will be judged during the summer and in August, SSP and Broadcom will announce the top 300 national semifinalists. From the semifinalists, 30 finalists will win an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, DC to showcase their projects, compete in teams and visit historical sites and organizations that celebrate innovation through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
